WHY CHARLOTTE CHURCH THINKS BREAST IS BEST

New mum Charlotte Church is urging young mums to breast feed their babies – and says it helped her shed her baby weight.

The Wesh warbler gave birth to her first child Ruby Megan with boyf Gavin Henson eight months ago and reckons breast is best!

‘Giving birth was much more scary – after you have given birth, breastfeeding is a walk in the park,’ said the singer at the launch of the UK’s Breastfeeding Awareness Week.

‘It just felt like the completely natural and right thing to do. It is such a bonding experience with your baby.'

The 21-year-old added: ‘It was reassuring knowing that Ruby had extra protection from chest, ear and stomach infections, as well as from diabetes and allergies.

‘On top of that, breastfeeding is free and really convenient.’

Charl kick started the Breastfeeding Awareness Week at the Wales Millennium Centre yesterday.
